The goals of the Alliance dues structure are to:
The term "agency" refers to the identified member agency and all corporate and affiliated entities of the member agency, both nonprofit and proprietary. "Corporate and affiliated entities" include, but are not limited to:
Member agencies assess their own dues annually based upon all of the member agencies expenditures in program areas impacted by Alliance advocacy activities including: adoption, education, family-based services, foster family agencies, juvenile justice, mental health, and residential care. A member agency's programs and service areas that lie clearly and unequivocally outside the advocacy areas of the Alliance are not included in the dues assessment.
The Alliance sends a request for dues assessment to each member agency 30 days prior to the end of NJACYF's fiscal year. Each member agency submits its dues assessment based upon its prior year's audited expenditures. The Executive Director or CEO and chief fiscal staff person of each member agency are required to sign an affidavit attesting to the accuracy of the agency's dues assessment.
Fiscal Year: July 1 - June 30
Membership dues for the current fiscal year are based on the audited figure from your agency's previous fiscal year. Dues are based on 0.45% (.0045) of your total budget from all sources for children's, families and youth programs (ages 0-21, child welfare, mental health, developmental disabilities, juvenile justice).
Exception: County Shelter Dues are $500 plus in-kind of $500 minimum or $500 in trainings purchased from NJACYF trainings.
New Member Agencies: Dues will be phased-in over two years at 50% then 100%.
